Well, from the technical point of view, you will need to download our HAKpaks here. What is a HAKpak? It is a collection of customized content for use in our world. It's effect is manyfold. Firstly it makes our world unique for you, the players, and enhances the playing experience.. Secondly, it discourages players who just seek to cause havok on the server. You will not be able to play TTM without the HAKpaks marked as essential.

Secondly, it is wise to construct a background for your character, to give them some substance, and something for the other players to interact with, rather than just a character with a name. Consider how your character behaves, who they like, who they don't, and decide on their principles and degree of morality perhaps, all reflecting upon their past. This is obviously not as essential as the HAKpaks, but it is greatly encouraged, as it will provide you with a far more immersive and satisfying experience.

Your life in TTM will begin with your arrival into the Port of Goldmoore aboard a boat. The boat houses several notice boards, detailing policies, both in character (IC) and out of character (OOC) that you need to be aware of. Once you have got to grips with it, proceed into the town..
